Approach & Services

At the heart of my work is the belief that healing occurs through connection- to ourselves, to others, and to the natural world.

I offer a nature-centered, trauma-informed, and person-centered approach that meets you where you are and supports your healing process with care, curiosity, and respect for your pace.

Whether you prefer the comfort of an indoor setting or the grounding presence of the outdoors, our sessions are designed to help you reconnect with your inner calm, strengthen your resilience, and cultivate a deeper sense of self-trust.

Nature-Centered Psychotherapy

Nature-centered psychotherapy invites the natural world to become part of the therapeutic process. This might mean meeting outdoors, incorporating nature-based metaphors or imagery, or simply using the sensory experiences of the environment - the wind, the ground, the sounds - as grounding tools during sessions.

The goal is not to “escape” into nature, but to reconnect, allowing the environment to support the body’s natural capacity to regulate, reflect, and restore balance. Being in nature can help calm the nervous system, ease anxiety, and offer new perspectives that foster healing and growth.

Sessions may include:

  • Mindful walks or quiet reflection in a natural setting

  • Somatic grounding and sensory awareness exercises

  • Creative or expressive activities inspired by the environment

  • Traditional talk therapy integrated with mindfulness and embodiment

Trauma-Informed & Person-Centered Care

I approach therapy from a trauma-informed lens, recognizing how lived experiences shape our sense of safety, connection, and identity. Together, we move at a pace that honors your comfort and readiness, always centering choice, consent, and collaboration.

Being person-centered means that our work is guided by you - your goals, values, and unique ways of knowing. I see my role as a compassionate collaborator, walking alongside you as you explore what healing looks like in your own life.

What to Expect

Our first sessions will focus on getting to know you and your story, what brings you to therapy, and what you hope to gain from this work.

As we build trust, we’ll begin exploring patterns, strengths, and strategies to support your emotional and physical well-being.

You can expect:

  • A warm, nonjudgmental, and supportive space

  • Gentle attention to both mind and body

  • Opportunities to connect with nature in ways that feel comfortable and meaningful

  • Collaboration in shaping your goals and pace of therapy

Sessions are available for teens and adults seeking support with:

  • Trauma recovery

  • Anxiety and stress

  • Life transitions

  • Self-esteem and identity exploration

  • Emotional regulation and nervous system awareness

  • Reconnection to self and environment

Where We’ll Meet

I currently offer sessions through Nature-Centered Psychotherapy under the supervision of Christian Dymond, LMFT. Outdoor sessions may take place in nearby natural areas, weather permitting, or indoors at my office in Burlington in a calm and grounding therapeutic space.

A Note on the Process

Therapy is not about fixing what’s “broken.” It’s about remembering what’s whole.
Just as the seasons shift, so too does our internal landscape — and within that natural rhythm, healing takes root.
